The elatex Visko mattress consists of a combination of viscoelastic and elatex foam, currently the optimum solution.
The viscoelastic foam (also known as memo foam) changes its hardness when exposed to temperature. The warmer the ambient temperature, the softer the material becomes. The patient literally sinks in, which means that very low pressure values can be achieved. An edge zone reinforcement provides more stability and safety. This mattress is ideal for use with very pressure-sensitive patients (decubitus stage I-III according to EPUAP). As the mattress can be used on both sides, the patient can be reclined after the pressure ulcer has improved.
wound condition can be transferred to the elatex layer.
