The ASX alternating pressure system is used for the prophylaxis and treatment of pressure ulcer patients up to stage III according to EPUAP. The system can be used with any conventional mattress or, if a safety mattress is inserted into the integrated base pocket, as a complete replacement system.
The ASX control unit features digital pressure sensor technology, which ensures quiet operation and a long product life. The compressors switch off automatically when the preset system pressure is reached and only reactivate when a cycle change occurs or to adjust the system pressure if required. The ASX mattress cover has nylon/PU cells. The cover is bi-elastic, PU-coated and has an all-round zip. In addition, a double-layer base allows
the insert of a safety mattress of up to 5 cm. This function protects the existing mattress from soiling.
